A Slice of Joy: Mickey and Friends(giving) x Roy Choi



      At the height of the pandemic, we brought a little warmth, whimsy, and comfort food to communities across the country with Mickey & Friends(giving) — a feel-good activation rooted in connection, creativity, and of course, ’za.      

      We teamed up with Chef Roy Choi, beloved for his community-first approach and bold culinary style, along with five iconic pizzerias across the U.S. — Jon & Vinny’s (LA), Roberta’s (NYC), Pizzeria Beddia (Philadelphia), Homeslice (Austin), and Pizzeria Bianco (Phoenix). For one day only, each spot offered exclusive Mickey-themed pizzas and limited-edition meal kits inspired by the Sensational Six, served in collectible boxes with custom stickers.      

      To bring the magic online, we rolled out a bespoke digital and social campaign across @mickeytrueoriginal and partner channels — with teaser videos, pre-order alerts, profile pic swaps, and make-at-home pizza recipes. We also partnered with creators and tastemakers who helped spread the word, sharing their Friendsgiving moments and driving community-wide engagement.
